This linear route, in memory of the late Jeff Parr, special friend, prolific walker, conscientious organiser & long-standing LDWA member, known to so many & greatly missed, receives an annual outing on a different month each year. This is a spectacular & fun route that ascends through Crich Common woodland to reach Crich, where coffee & cake can be taken at The Loaf bakery & café, before rising still further to Crich Stand, then descending to the Cromford Canal, which is followed until heading off to Bow Wood, past Cromford Mills, through Cromford, over to Matlock Bath, along Lover’s Walk, up to High Tor dropping (not literally) into Matlock to finish at Matlock rlwy stn for a return by train or bus; if required
