This linear route, in memory of the late Jeff Parr, special friend, prolific walker, conscientious organiser & long-standing LDWA member, known to so many & greatly missed, receives an annual outing on, it is hoped, a different month each year. This is a spectacular & fun route that ascends through Crich Common woodland to reach Crich, where coffee & cake can be taken at The Loaf bakery & café, afterwards rising still further to Crich Stand, before descending to the Cromford Canal, which is followed until heading off to Bow Wood, then up Scarthin Rock, through Cromford & Scarthin, over to Matlock Bath, along Lover’s Walk, up to High Tor (Giddy Edge optional) & finally Pic Tor to finish at Matlock rlwy stn for a return by train or bus
