Walk Details:
Parking and start of the walk at Allen Banks National Trust c.p, GR NY798641, pay and display car park, free to National Trust members, 4 pounds per day for non members. Please do not try and use the post code given on the National trust website in your satnav to get to the car park at Allen Banks. The postcode will take you uphill after you go under the railway bridge instead of turning sharp left. Walk leader will be Brid Crowley
Allen Banks to Hadrians Wall at Housesteads, across wall to Cawfields Quarry, Haltwistle Burn Path, Haltwistle, Plenmeller, back across Plenmeller Common to return to Allen Banks

Apologies, only one photo from Brid's superb Allen Banks walk yesterday( where is Li Yang when you need 75 photos) a terrific route, with interesting return via Kingswood above Plankey Mill, where some excitable cows were encountered. 22 miles. ( Peter Ford)Other Files
