Walk Report
Northumbria LDWA today's group walk was extremely successful. 40 walkers and Molly the dog were taken to Durham Cathedral from Castleside by an organised bus and started our Pilgrimage of Light, a series of linear walks which are held by our local group to celebrate the 50th Anniversary year of the LDWA. In approximately 20 mile sections we are covering 145 miles from Durham Cathedral to Holy Island. Today it was the 1st section about 22 miles, led by our experienced and knowledgeable leader Jim Arden, from Durham Cathedral to Beaurepaire, Witton Gilbert, Ushaw College, Esh, Quebec, Lanchester and Castleside, which was on the new Northern Saints Trail, the Way of Light. More detail about this series linear walk can be found on our website: https://ldwa.org.uk/Northumbria/W/8048/50th-anniversary-celebrations.html LiyangOther Files
