The annual Christmas pilgrimage to Leicestershire this year offers a picturesque and diverse route that takes in the River Soar, Mountsorrel, Rothey, Thurcaston, Swithland, Swithland Reservoir and Quorndon, in the latter stages treading on Charnwood Marathon territory, which is all to the good

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
