THE SMUGGLERS TROD IS NOW AN ANYTIME CHALLENGE WALK

 

THE YORKSHIRE COAST GROUP IS BASED IN AND AROUND SCARBOROUGH ON THE EAST OF NORTH YORKSHIRE.

WE HAVE AROUND 50 MEMBERS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND GIVE A FRIENDLY WELCOME TO ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US.

A Saturday/Sunday walking programme runs throughout the year, See Future Events . There is also a Wednesday evening social short walks programme running throught the Summer months from May to September. 

The Saturday/Sunday walks cover the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Moors and the surrounding coastal areas and vary in distance from 10 to 20 miles to encourage new walkers who will hopefully join more experienced members on longer walks.

 Also we have a variety of social events over the year.

Please note that ONLY members of the L.D.W.A. are covered by insurance, whilst participating in any Yorkshire Coast Group event

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
