The first of a series of walks that will see us walk the Ebor Way which links the Cleveland Way at Helmsley with the Dales Way at Ilkley. This walk will cover the initial nine miles from Helmsley to Hovingham. A devised longer return route will see us hopefully have lunch in Slingsby and pass through Nunnington and Harome

A Marauders Walk. Helmsley is on the A170 - Thirsk to Pickering - road. Pay and display parking near the castle at SE610838
