Alton to Farnham, Saturday 7th February 20098 walkers, 18 miles - leader Lonica Vanclay
7 intrepid walkers joined me for what turned out to be a glorious and unusual walk... clear sunny weather with the terrain for the whole distance covered in several inches of clean white snow - not often we are able to walk in such conditions in southern England. The snow was firm and we were could still keep up a fast pace and complete the walk in excellent time. The views were superb. Frensham Pond was frozen - a contrast to the last time I was there in summer when people were sunbathing and swimming in it!
