The route is Wetton, Wetton Mill, Butterton, Warslow, Ecton Hill, Alstonefield, Coldeaton Bridge, Milldale, Hall Dale, Air Cottage, Ilam, Rushley, Grindon, Wetton. With the 'improved' route over Ecton Hill the mileage is just short of 25 (map) miles. There is 1520m of ascent.

LDWA Walks

The LDWA organises many challenge events and local group social walks, as well as listing many more organised by other organisations. Challenge events are normally between 20 and 100 miles and must generally be completed within a defined time limit. Social walks are normally led walks of around 20 miles.
