Walk Details:
This circular route circumnavigates Hay-on-Wye, beginning with a crossing of the Dulas Brook beside Cusop Church, slipping briefly into England. From here, the path climbs towards the ancient earthworks of Mouse Castle, then rises onto Cusop Hill before delving into the twisting green corridors of New Wood Forest. Continuing over the open heights of Cefn Hill, the walk follows a patchwork of lesser-known tracks before returning to the Dulas Brook at the old brickyard, where we re-enter Wales. The final leg follows quieter paths to the peaceful churchyard of Llanigon, before looping back towards Hay
