Joint walk with Heart of England Group
Start front of Long Buckby station. Postcode NN6 7PF. A linear walk along the Grand Union Canal to Northampton station. We start with a mile along Three Bridges Road taking us to Long Buckby wharfe on the Grand Union Canal. From there, heading along the GUC to Gayton Junction where we turn onto the Northampton arm and head down the 17 locks into the town to where the cnal joins the river Nene. From here it is a short walk to Northampton Station
General Notes
Whilst the walk passes a number of marinas there are very few opportunities to replenish supplies, so it is advisable to have enough food and drink with you for the full walk
