Route
Bryndolau Car Park, Abergwesyn, Powy. Directions from Builth Wells: Take A483 out of Builth Wells. Straight on approx. 8 miles (12k) to Beulah. Turn right on bend after Trout Inn & filling station onto minor road signposted Abergwesyn. Follow twisty road straight on for 5 miles (8k). Car park on left-hand side 100m after house fronting road.

Rugged Cambrian Mountains - mix of track, by-way & indistinct bridleway on upland plateau, moorland & smoothly domed hills. 4852ft of ascent. Follow Gwyesyn Valley to Drygarn Fawr, view Caban Coch, Garreg Ddu reservoirs, cross foot of Claerwen Dam, follow stream fords to Rhiwnant, up Nant Paradwys valley to Carnau& return to car park.
Notes: Toilets at car park. Some rough & wet ground with boggy areas. Exposed in inclement weather, please bring appropriate clothing
