Walk Report

A Winter Walk to Winter Hill, Sunday 9th January 2022
6 walkers, 20 miles - leader Jerome Ripp
WhatsApp and Registration allowed a late change from the planned Saturday which was non-stop rain to the glorious sunshine of Sunday. We had to contend with muddy paths and crowds near Marlow on the Thames Path, a small price to pay for a perfect winter walk. Burchetts Green and Maidenhead Thicket took us into some wooded hillsides and the ubiquitous Chiltern Way. To the Thames Path near Hurley and lunch in Marlow. A tour around more wooded hills between Bisham and Cookham leading to the famous view from the top of Winter Hill. Return via Cookham Dean and Furze Platt
