City Churches 2020, Wednesday 21st October 20209 walkers, 14 miles - leader Ron Williamson
A soggy day in London town confirmed the resilience of today's walkers and tested the effectiveness of their waterproofs. All who registered for the walk were at Fenchurch St station ready for the start of another London challenge.
An attempt to visit all 58 churches and towers listed by The Friends of City Churches was today's task and the route chosen must not cross itself or use the same section of road twice.
Plenty of interest to see through steamed up glasses whilst trying to follow sodden route instructions and we were able to gain entry to six of the churches.
At the end 5 obtained gold standard for completing the course, I silver for 50 check points and 3 awarded bronze for a valiant effort in trying circumstances.
