Route
Meet at 9.30am in Rawtentall (see below) to begin walking at approximately 10am. Stages 15-18 Haslingden Grane (GR751231) to Burnley (GR 836 321) via Rising Bridge, Loveclough, the Singing Ringing Tree and Towneley.
15 miles – 6 hours walking – 1,791ft ascent.
Meet and park in Rawtenstall – Kay Street Long Stay Car Park – BB4 7LS (GR SD 813 228) just 5 minutes from the bus station. Take half the cars to Haslingden Grane – see above. Walk to Burnley Manchester Road Railway Station. Catch the X43 bus from Burnley to Rawtenstall – every 15 minutes – 30 minute journey. Retrieve cars and return to Haslingden Grane for the remainder of the cars.
