Route
Stages 12 to 14. Edenfield (GR SD 800181) to Haslingden Grane (GR SD 751231). 19 miles. Start 8.30am. 8 hours walking – 3,102 ft ascent. Meet at public car park on The Haslingden Grane (GR SD 751231). Take half the cars to Edenfield and park on the A56 by the Duckworth Arms BL0 0EG (GR SD800181). At the end of the day retrieve the cars left at Edenfield – 10 minutes drive – 6 miles! The day begins with a climb up to the Peel Tower and then on to the Pilgrim’s Cross. The second half of the day takes in Edgworth, Turton Towers, the Entwistle Reservoir and then over Hog Lowe Pike to descend in to the Haslingden Grane.
