Walk across the moors of the Brecon Beacons to the mountains in the North, returning over the open moors of Afon y Waun and Cadair Fawr. A lot of trackless open moor giving the sense of freedom with wide open views

You can walk to Storey Arms and get the Merthyr bus back to start for a shorter walk. Map: Explorer OL12. Ascent: 6500 ft
