Wilkes and Liberty
Wed 7th Mar 2018
Walk Details:
Follow the life of libertarian John Wilkes from Parliament Square (he was an MP) to Clerkenwell Green (where he was born). Feel the adulation of the crowds welcoming him back from exile in 1768 only to be fired on by troops. Lots of other sites and anecdotes

Walk Report
Wilkes & Liberty, Wednesday 7th March 201812 walkers, 8 miles - leader Chris Hedley
12 people came along for a fun evening celebrating the life of 18th century libertarian MP John Wilkes. We discovered riots and scenes of carnage on the roundabouts and squares of central London on a cold bright evening.
