Walk Report

LIke the 2016 Christmas Crawl, this year's walk was in decidedly wintry conditions, but considerably more challenging. Rather than a "winter wonderland", there was a combination of wet snow over boggy conditions, some slick descents, more snow falling most of the morning, and a strong cold wind over the higher ground. Despite this, a good-sized and well kitted out group turned up and finished the route, which was almost identical to the previous year (well .15 mile shorter but one extra hill!), in an identical time according to the final photos. The "winter wonderland" did eventually materialise at the very end, obviously delayed by the wrong kind of snow.
