Route
Roman Camps near Cawthorne. The best route if you don’t mind single–track lanes is to take Cawthorne Lane N from Wrelton, [just off the A170, 2 km W of Pickering] via Cawthorne hamlet. At the T-jnct just beyond Cawthorne turn R and the Roman Camps c.p. is about 1km on the L.
A wider but slightly longer route is to travel from Wrelton via Cropton village
