The LDWA can help you, as we have some volunteering opportunities which will help our entirely volunteer based team with their work. The roles range from an NEC role leading our IT efforts to much smaller bite-size opportunities which require less time.
Our new IT project is hugely important to us and we have numerous opportunities here that we'd like to fill, ranging from system testers to a project manager role. We also need a volunteer support officer to help with the process of finding more volunteers and ensuring that they have the resources and back-up that they need. If you like writing, there's a press officer role to help the LDWA get more publicity in the media and support groups with their publicity efforts. We're also looking to recruit for the new role of social walks coordinator to help support our excellent walk leaders and all the exciting and interesting social walks that they put on.
If you'd like to find out more, please contact the NEC officer listed below. If you're not sure whether you've got the right skills or that you're the right person, then please do still contact the NEC officer. We always welcome new volunteers and even if a specific role isn't for you, it's near certain we'll find something that works for you and us. We know that many of our volunteers have made new friends in their work, in addition of course to helping the LDWA, so please do help us if you can.
