Accommodation Info

Toad Hall is a privately-owned family hostel in mid Wales, close to Snowdonia and in the beautiful Dovey Estuary (a designated biosphere with Yns Hir RSPB reserve and the long sandy beaches of Aberdovey). The influential Centre for Alternative Technology is 2 miles away, with around 100,000 visitors a year.

Toad hall is just 5 minutes walk from the historical town of Machynlleth which was the seat of the first Welsh government in 1405. Nowadays it has a lively feel with a busy Wednesday market, and many residents with a progressive and alternative slant. The Corris and Tal y Llyn narrow gauge railways are nearby, Cader Idris mountain is 6 miles away.

Toad Hall has 4 private bedrooms, a self catering kitchen, a large games room (available until 9pm), a flat garden for bike/canoe storage and camping, and a workshop for bike repairs. Please phone to arrange use of any of these facilities.

Under 18s and well behaved dogs are welcome with prior agreement.
