Hendre Isaf is a 400-year-old converted farm building of stone and slate construction situated on the Ysbyty Estate. The 8,000 hectare estate takes in 51 Hill Farms, 31 cottages, forested valleys and high open moorland known as the Migneint. The Basecamp, set in a peaceful part of Snowdonia 6 miles from Betws-y-Coed, is available for private hire by groups and by negotiation is free for volunteers undertaking conservation work for the National Trust. Local attractions include the dry ski slope and Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre at Capel Curig, shops, leisure centre and swimming pool at Llanrwst, seaside resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Llandudno. The centre may be able to accommodate one person with special mobility needs - telephone for details of access. No pets permitted.
