FYI, I have been on the LEJOG Way since April 10. I am 27 miules into the Pennine Way with 6 days of rest time. The weather has been overcast and cold with some wind. Have had rain for 6hours after 4pm and a light drizzle for 1 day. that is all.

I will be doing the LEJOG solo starting in mid-April. being from outside the UK I have only the image of this year's massive blizzards as an indicator of what conditions must be like. Will all of the snow be gone from land's end to the beginning of the Pennine way say from Apr 15 to may 15 or should I compensate by heavier winter gear?
