Discussion Forum - Long Distance Paths - Worth Matravers to the new forest?

Hi there,

I am planning a long walk - see here for details, part of which will got from Worth Matravers in Dorset across the new forest towards Romsey.

I had planned on following the SW coast path and then cross to Poole, walk along to Bournemouth and up the Avon path. However the Poole-Bournemouth leg is somewhat dull and featureless and I wondered whether anyone knew of a more interesting route, perhaps through Wareham forest and around the back of Poole/Bournemouth towards Ringwood?

Any thoughts/ideas very welcome. Cheers, Stan
