In case anyone was wondering, the rescheduled "2009" Stagger went just fine in the end - nice and sunny, frozen fields but with very little snow about. The main hazard was road ice, but even that was less of a hassle than on the Hangover Hike a couple of days earlier.

On the whole I think I preferred this year's route to the one for 2008; Audley End is certainly a more imposing landmark than Arkesden, even with the lake drained! Good food at the checkpoint, too.

Fingers crossed for the Winter Tanners next weekend; should be fun in the snow, if the weather forecast is correct ....
