Good idea and i have both. In desperation, we may resort to actually buying some apples! Thanks all the same.

Sadly, Carole, we can't help. Maybe try rhubarb, or blackberries?

This is a plea from the Hebden (Calderdale group) in respect of our very popular apple crumble, which has been served as pudding after our event for the last three years. Our cooking apple scources have dried up after bumper crops last year and we cannot find a replacement supplier. All we ask is for anyone with surplus apples which they do not want for themselves, to kindly pass them on to us, rather than let them rot on the tree. Please email caroleengel@yahoo.co.uk or tellephone me on 01484 606850. Thanks.
