Even if our coaches do end up full on the day, the Swanage -Weymouth journey is still just about do-able, despite the best efforts of the local bus & train operators. (The first bus to Wareham links with the train but that only arrives at 09:36, just after the registration closes.)
Parking in Weymouth & retrieving the car after the event suffers from the bad evening bus timetable. Wareham- Weymouth trains go hourly up to 23:04hrs. The Swanage – Wareham buses go 17:30hrs, 19:05hrs (which misses the 20:04hrs train by 1 minute) & 21:45hrs. Scrounging a lift to Wareham to get the evening train may still be an option.

Although we are now past the closing date for advance entries, we have continued to receive a stream of entries and enquiries for this event, and have therefore decided to book one more additional coach for transporting walkers from Swanage to the start at Weymouth on the morning of the walk. There are a few seats left : when they are gone, they are gone. See our Dorset Group website for details and advice.

When the coaches are all full, we will still accept entries (£10) on the day at Weymouth, but there is no guarantee of a spare coach seat from Swanage.
