How about joining BBN on their Halloween Walk? Come in fancy dress, prize for the winner. I'm going as I am so bound to win!

I met a couple of people on Saturday who also didn't know it had been cancelled. Ian Parker had posted a notice on this board saying so as long ago as 4th September (it's still there, if you look).

Having this forum is a big step forward in the dissemination of urgent news but it loses efficiency if the LDWA Grapevine doesn't pick up on it.

I nearly ruined the day for Tim Glenn yesterday when I told him the Double Trigger had been cancelled. Fortunately Mike Warner’s Derbyshire Windmill Wander provided plenty to take Tim’s mind off the disappointment. I don’t think there are any challenge events in the calendar next weekend, so Tim has some spare time – any suggestions?

I've had an email from the organiser to let me know that the event has been cancelled because the cricket club could not provide support this year.
