I recently purchased a pair of Nike Pegasus GTX, which are similar to the Pegasus running shoe, but with a Goretex lining. Having worn them in gently over the last few weeks, I took them out over 32 miles of undulating Welsh hills and they managed to keep my feet warm and dry despite the usual bogs and copious mud. Overall I'm very impressed, comfortable, light, great for long distance and a bargain at approx £60 from Sportshoes Unlimited in Bradford (including postage).
