Thanks to everyone for their help and advice. I went over there on 14th April and the Deweys are now all ticked off. Didn't see a thing unfortunately as the weather was terrible. Had to manage with the very poor "official" 1:50,000 map issued by the IOM - 1986 version! Wouldn't give 'em twopence for it! Don't waste your money - beg, steal or borrow, as i did (thanks Dave and M).

The maps are also available from the LDWA website Isle of Man Map: Isle of Man: North & South - 1:25000 (Isle of Man Department of Tourism & Leisure - 1995) Harvey Map (Sheet Map): Isle of Man (Superwalker) (Harvey Maps - 2004)

Hi Carole
hope I am not too late but you can get 1:25000 from the Isle of Man Survey shop (the equivalent of the Ordnance Survey which we have in Great Britain)
http://www.gov.im/dlge/planning/mapping/map_shop.xml

or from the tourist authority
http://shop.isleofman.com/acatalog/isleofman_com_Maps_10.html

it is also possible to buy it online from the Ordnance Survey shop.

I will get the 2 maps when I head out for the Deweys and Marilyns and at some point for the coastal walk.

Hello Carole, I can't help you with the map but I've had a look at the OS website and it doesn't look like the IOM is covered by Explorer maps, but the Harvey website lists it under the Superwalker series. M

Hi Carole,

I don't think there is a 1:25,000 OS map, is there? I could only get the 1:50,000 map for when I did the Manx Mountain Marathon.

Does anyone out there have the 1:25,000 ordnance survey outdoor leisure map for the Isle of Man? OR the Harvery super walker version at 1:30,000? Need to get over there to bag the Deweys - one day only, so would prefer to borrow rather than buy a map. caroleengel@yahoo.co.uk
