Just to say thank you to Surrey for putting on The Winter Tanners. This is the first time I've entered this event. The route was most enjoyable with a good mix of heath, woods and downland. The frost stayed in the ground most of the day keeping the mud at bay which was a bonus. The lasting memory of the event will be the starting in the dark and the light covering snow on climb up box hill. Special thanks to all who helped out on the CPs with such cheer.
