Thanks to all helpers for enduring the cold conditions. A lovely walk with a clear sky to give us good views across the reservoirs.

Many thanks to Carl and Anne Edwards and their helpers for reviving this traditional start to the walking year. The new start from Nant Gwilt got the dreaded pull up through the forestry out of the way at the beginning and left one free to enjoy the reat of the route. The new bridge near Claerwen was ignored by most traditionalists who broke the ice to ford the river. Walking conditions could not have been better - the bogs frozen, the sky blue and clear and the country sparkling like a tacky Christmas card. Great day.
