The Giant's Daughter is a new springtime challenge event in Dorset on March 22nd 2009. with a choice of two routes, 20 or 30 miles in the beautiful chalk stream valleys (and hills) north of Dorchester. Starting from Stratton Village Hall (a veritable palace) there are two other nice village hall checkpoints with delicious refreshments en route. Plus, there is hot food (and even showers) at the finish. The sequence of the Giants Daughter, followed by the Wye Forest 50 (a month later) will be good preparation for the Wessex Hundred. You can now download an entry form, from the Dorset LDWA Group Website. BUT please note that entries are limited to 140 and we cannot take entries on the day. The event will be in the next Strider of course, but an early entry would not be a bad idea. Don't be disappointed ...
