An excellent event and we were blessed with perfect weather, given the dire forecast. We were lucky to finish before the afternoon showers. On-the-day entries were down as a result of the weather, which was a shame, as this is a very well-organised event and money-raiser for the local choir. The route has splendid views and it was a joy to navigate. It amazes me how so many people enter an event without an ability to map-read. I had a significant entourage, which was annoying at times. However, there was fantastic support and encouragement at all the checkpoints and wonderful pie and peas at the finish. Thanks to everyone who looked after us so admirably. We look forward to next year!
