Tim - it would be great if all the walks had a gpx file uploaded. At the moment though there are a number of gaps. I appreciate that an indicator would be useful, but all development work on the database is currently on hold due to the plans to move to a new database. Until then, I'm afraid that we will have lots of manual work arounds. Some groups have been more proactive than others in uploading the files. If there is a particular walk you are interested in, you could always contact the local group to see if they have the gpx file.

An alternative is to use the Long Distance Paths database which has hundreds of routes which are fully mapped out and searchable. As we've seen from the advent A-Z there are a lot of paths we've not heard of (especially in the "other paths" and "anytime challenges").

It isn't easy to find the walks in the walks database on the local groups sites that have a gpx file. Please could the DB be searchable for those walks that have a gpx file ? If that is too much development work, perhaps the titles of those walks with gpx files could be updated to "+GPX" ?
