Thankyou for the link Michael a really catchy tune we have been playing it at work. Bill doesn`t really think we are bad singers we could form a choir. I think everyone in the group should try singing music man up a steep incline as a challenge. You would be suprised how hard it is.
Hope everyone is well Jeff.

Thank you for the link Michael, but you shouldn't encourage them, they sounded like the night frog chorus (croaking) we got on your Cinque Port 100.

Seriously everyone the last few weeks walking with the Bolton Boys and Peter Beddows and Carmel has kept me going. Everyone knows I have a slate loose. Have done some Fantastic self distancing walks. The Drinks Coca Cola were Fantastic hope this was not an Advertising slot. We have a boom box and we do requests all the way around. Kath always wants Music Man by Black lace going up the hard climbs and we have to sing all the song which is dificult to stay in Key. Look forward to the red rose 50 in reverse soon fingers crossed. Hope everyone in the Ldwa are all healthy and in good spirits.
And see you all soon on a challenge walk soon jeff.

Thanks All, you kept me going when times were hard, just about dried out now. The group Entertainment Manager, Mr. Jeff Stevens, kept us entertained for the full 15 hours & before / after, with music, dance, 'cheerfulness' in abundance. We rent him out for a small fee if anyone wants him on their walks. Look forward to next weeks outing of the Saturday Club. Enjoy your walks all.

Hi All
With the A foot in 2 Dales event off we decided to do our own 50 miler logistically the best one to do was the Red rose 50. Bill and Kath organised this with Bills Daughter manning the first social distancing check point and supplying some lovely sandwiches and coffee. Kaths Husband Andrew manned check point 2 and 3 with some lovely home made cakes and again hot coffee and sandwiches. many thanks to both for their hard work top people. We did not take lightly the task and tried to stay to the Ldwa.S guidelines we all carried hand sanitizer and there was gloves and anti bacterial wipes in the vehicles. To The walk it was year 1s Red rose 50 if you have never done the Red rose 50 it is a very tough and uncompromising walk . This is however a fantastically beautiful area of the country and anyone who did the Red rose 100 would understand. There was 5 of us Bill Pritchard,Kath Percival .Peter Beddows ,Brian Fisher and me. Hats of to Brian First walk since lockdown was eased and straight into a grueling 50 miler. Bill mostly Navigated the Route with help from Brian and Peter and we never got lost.
The weather was at times atrocious but as you all know all in the Ldwa are Highly motivated individuals and excel in all conditions. Kath made loads of homemade goodies that kept us going and we started at Kaths and finished with the last climb being winter hill Kath lives at the side of the Anglezarke really jealous . Peter was getting back to his best if you saw the picture of him and Rob they had both put some belly on in lockdown . Look forward to meeting up with you all on events when we get some normality back and miss mixing with everyone see you all soon Jeff ps thanks for the lovely soup at the end Kath.
