We have done the section downstream from Bedford and at the time the paths were good.
This year we walked the route from Buckingham to Milton Keynes. Lovely scenery and mostly good paths, but hardly used so there were a few places where nettles and brambles reigned supreme.
There are good frequent buses end to end so it is an easy walk to do.
