The Met Office now have a Yellow warning for Rain on Saturday and Sunday"Heavy showers and thunderstorms".

A month ago we outdid The Valleys with 32 hours of continuous rain. We're not expecting a repeat. It might be heavy but it won't last long so you can dry out before getting wet again. It'll probably be enough to create some mud and spoil the pictures.

Did the White Cliffs 50 a couple of years ago - near end you could see sheet lightning coming from the sea. It became a spectacular storm. We all nearly drowned before the finish !!! Super heavy rain; hopefully nothing like that this time. Best to be prepared with layers and nothing too heavy.

Can someone who understands weather give an idea of how heavy the rain is likely to be over the CP100?

I've decided to go with the bulkier but more robust jacket, but I'd still be interested to know.
