Walked the section from Storey Arms to Merthyr today. Very boggy underfoot in places and feels a little neglected. We failed to find the directions into the forestry at Beacons Reservoir and we found the trail closed just before Garw Nant which meant negotiating a very marshy ascent via a minor path. The Garw Nant website says that some of the paths are closed on the Wern Nature Trail but no mention that this is part of the Taff Trail. The section into Merthyr was confusing. We actually lost the path in Cefn Coed y Cymmer. I understand that the arm that goes up to Talybont is much better used but it is a shame to let this branch decay.
