Ah thanks Michael.....never thought to look in the rules about this particular issue tbh!!

Good question Phil, probably covered by this item from the Rules:

B6 Entrants must pass through checkpoints in order. If they deviate from the route they must get back on route by the shortest practical means without trespassing on private property. Deliberate deviation from the route to gain advantage will result in disqualification.

This may seem like a silly question but is the Route Description provided the definitive route i.e. all competitors HAVE to follow it to the letter??
If you were to go wrong can you just make your way back onto the correct route as soon as its possible via different paths/tracks/roads or do you have to retrace back?? Obviously ensuring you visit all the CP's and SC's of course.....
