Many thanks to Gordon and everyone from London LDWA for putting on such a marvellous event in the picturesque Surrey hills with my favourite scenery in the whole of SE England. Also thank you to Steve and Nigel who gave me lifts to and from the nearest train stations to Peaslake. Without their kind-heartedness (and that of others) there would have been quite a few of us who would have been unable to participate. The rain in the afternoon failed to dampen the enthusiasm of the marshals at the checkpoints - the hot soup at the end was excellently spicy and just what I needed.
