Raymond, Mike Parker's book 'Map Addict' (Collins 2009) has some interesting and (mainly, imo) well-judged things to say about satnav, GPS (it's a product name) and digital mapping. It's a good read as well.

This is a really interesting book about the origins, mechanism and amazing uses for GPS.
Warning:- it will not tell you anything much useful about using one!
