Sore toe usually means a too tight fit, but it can be sock problems. A tiny bit of Vaseline can improve things, its not messy if you use only a little
Some boot shops can put bulges into boots where needed - its a bit scary as they boil them first! Better than binning the boots though
Altberg should be able to tell you of a suitable shop in your area

I suffer from being in the expensive South ;-)
Yesterday was nearly 20 miles of slipping, sliding and paddling across very wet and muddy bits of rolling Hampshire, but the heels are still attached so that seems to have been a success.

My left little toe is a bit sore again so I'll try thinner socks next time, if this doesn't work I might need to visit Altberg - unless there's anyone with a fitting service further South ...?

I have been hiking for over 50 years and I have used many boots. I used to get abt 1800 miles out of Scarpa Bronzo but less with modern boots. Now I am, retired I walk over 2000m a year so boots are a big expense

Every resole I have tried with good suppliers has resulted in leaky boots. But I have never used Meindl so it may be worth a try. As for a repairer, ask Meindl or your retailer for a recommendation

Now I get a local cobbler to put new heels when they are worn on and after abt 3 of these the boots are chucked. New heals are a very cheap life extension.

As for the toe problem - next time get wider boots. I think Meindl do wide boots (EE) as does Altberg which I use
Some boot retailers will stretch boots, it involved boiling them which does not sound good except as last resort
