I am looking to walk the Freedom Trail from St Girons, France across the Pyrenees into Spain. It is a route used during WWII by escapees fleeing Nazi occupied France and was inaugurated as a waymarked trail in 1994. Lots of history, magnificent scenery and some moving memorials along the way to those who perished. It takes 4 days, with 6-8 hrs walking each day, staying in mountain refuges. Aiming for next June 2016.
Fly to and from Toulouse.
