Just joined the LDWA and got my first issue of Strider. I was interested to see that the White To Dark Way in the Peak District was listed as a new path. The entry finishes with a note that the route was to be waymarked.

I can confirm that the route is definitely waymarked as a group of Country Walking magazine readers joined some of the staff of the magazine for a long weekend walking the route and nailing up the waymarkers as we went back in May 2012. And I was one of those readers and I did my bit for waymarking the route.

It was my first visit to the Peak District and although the weather could have been better it was a lovely introduction to the area.
