This year we have a new badge and certificate to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the death of Sir Tatton Sykes, 5th Baronet of Sledmere, who with his father, did so much to build, rebuild or restore 18 churches chiefly on the Wolds in East Yorkshire between 1856 and 1913. Three of the greatest Gothic revival architects were employed: J.L. Pearson, G.E. Street and Temple L. Moore.

But, as for the walk: 23miles through splendid Wolds countryside including the Sledmere estate, crafted by Capability Brown; 90% plus off-footpath with special permissives from the Estate and local farmers.

Come and have a loosener before the 100!

John
