A brilliant day all round so to speak, particularly for us Senior Citizens and our Minder young Janet but I don't know if Nev Tandy would approve of all the tea and cakes!

The weather was excellent for the event, after all the rain we have had lately. With a very good turnout on the day, and some new views along the route, and the checkpoint of Jimmys sausages always the most popular one. Anne Edwards and all her family who came on in full force to help out on the day, Carl would be very proud of them all. Thank you to the Visitor Centre for the Cafe being open this year for much appreciated refreshments at the end of the challenge. A small group attended the new Celebration evening meal at the Elan Valley Lodge to end the day on a perfect note. Remember for 2014 folks that Roy Davies has B&B at the Elan Valley Lodge for you to stay over, (just 2 minutes from the start), contact him on 01597 811143 or email him at roy@elanvalleylodge.co.uk
Date for 2014 will be Saturday 4th January
Hope you all enjoyed the event.
Carl Edwards, gone, but not forgotten
