We had the sad news on Wednesday November 21st that Chris "tea bags"
Dawes collapsed and died at his favourite gym. Chris was a founder
member and great supporter of the Marches Group. Chris played a major role in the planning andorganisation of all the Shropshire 100s; his creative routes
complete with literary and historical notes have guided an uncountable
numbers of walkers across his much loved Marches countryside. His
pate on weetabix, tiramisu cake bars and cheery encouragement have kept
many a tired soul plodding onward. Chris could lose his way and even
his ruck sack, Chris could set fire to his tent but nothing would make
him despondent - here's hoping his route is well waymarked with
welcoming check points.

Chris's funeral will be at Telford Crematorium(TF2 9NJ) at 1pm on Tuesday December 4th This will be followed by a short walk and a get together at The Shropshire Golf Centre, Muxton TF2 8PQ
