The Village Hall at Rivington was full to bursting as a large field of runners, joggers, walkers and amblers attempted to dress, sup tea and chat whilst being jostled by late arrivals (ourselves included!). Outside, the sub-zero temperature kept the bogs and mud in perma-frost and made going relatively easy. Snow flurries greeted us on Winter Hill but lots of goodies at the refreshment stop near Belmont kept spirits up. Hot Dogs at Slipper Lowe !! The sun came out as we trotted over Great Hill and soon blue skies could be seen over the coastal plane. A great hotpot at the finish and a good chat with colleagues rounded off a perfect event. Well done everyone - another great Lancashire event ! Garfield & Helen.
